#2594 - Die Cut not Registering to Printed Material


PROBLEM
Customer not able to register die cuts to a pre-printed registration mark.


INVESTIGATION
Master: Pre-print 1.125" (28.575mm) pitch
Die 1: 90T/10 AR 
Die 2: 120T/14 AR
Pitch: (Tooth*3.175)/Cavities AR 

Confirm Auto Run Conditions
  1. Asked customer the die settings in Auto Run screen

ROOT CAUSE
      Customer was using incorrect Master Die Pitch (100/1=317.500) for Printed Pitch (28.575)

SOLUTION
      Correct D5 Die Settings to 90T 10AR

IMPLEMENTATION
  1. Corrected D5 Tooth and Cavity setting to 90/10
  2. toggled master die OFF/ON
  3. Confirmed "Parts Pitch of Die" read "28.575mm" on Auto Mode screen
  4. Customer reinitialize Pre-Registration
  5. Customer ran and die cut in registration
