#3114 - Upper Unwind/Rewind Extension not Locking/Fixing


PROBLEM
  1. Customer find that Upper Unwind/Rewind with Extension cannot lock/fix in full position

INVESTIGATION
  1. DCS Team re-align extension plate position on linear guide
    1. No change
  2. DCS Team adjust tensioner to reduce pull from belt
    1. No change
  3. DCS Team remove backplate on RDC machine, to see Upper stand from back of machine
  4. Upper stand in CLOSED position

  5. Upper stand in OPEN position

ROOT CAUSE
  1. Compressed air line for air shaft is too short

SOLUTION
  1. Extend compressed air line

IMPLEMENTATION
  1. Splice extra length of compressed air line
  2. Test that OPEN/CLOSED position is reached
    1. CLOSED

    2. OPEN
